With Ahrefs you can do selective searches based on the platform such as Google, Youtube, Amazon or a few other sites. Once you search for a keyword with Ahrefs you will have the difficulty indicator for how many backlinks you would want to have to rank well with your site. There is also the search volume to give you an idea of how often the word is searched for and to give an idea of if it is a seasonal search or you can narrow this by country. Ahrefs even has an estimation of how many clicks a site in the first position will normally receive per month. As you scroll down the results, if your keyword is not the parent topic it will give you a suggestion of what the keyword you are searching's parent topic is with a link to the current number one for that topic. Below this is a section suggesting you topics and giving you an idea of how often a site is visited for that specific keyword. Lastly, on this overview page will be a representation of the current Google first page result for the keyword. In this area it will list their rating for the site based on Ahref's definition, how well the domain ranks in their eyes, the rating for that specific page on the site, how many backlinks are to that page, the number of domains from different domains, the estimated monthly traffic for that page, the number of keywords in the article, and finally the volume of the keyword. We recommend going to the questions section on the left to get an idea of what users are asking. You have the option in Ahrefs to narrow down the less competitive questions out of those keywords. Don't be put off by the volume of clicks, focus on good topics for your site's visitors so you can start bringing search volume up for that keyword.
